OUR COMMITMENTS TO STAKEHOLDERS
Wakamara is not only creating value for our company, customers and investors. We are also committed to adding value to the greater communities in which we operate.
We create a healthy and safe work environment
We provide quality employment and growth opportunities
We train and develop skills with our external programs
We commit to our HSE policy for all stakeholders
We work with local communities in order to bring collective value
Our strategy is simple: Provide the highest quality equipment rentals and transport services supported by the best mechanics, wherever it is needed in West Africa. Our equipment, spare parts, and training is sourced directly from name brand manufacturers in the USA including CAT, Komatsu, Case, and others. Our organization is set up similar to rental companies in the USA and Europe, allowing scale that drives our high level of support for our customers efficiently and directly. We have built our in-country operations in a way that can be quickly replicated as we enter new markets. These new market entry decisions are driven by data & customer pull - we operate where our customers need us and where we can make an appropriate return on our investment.
Our co-founders and managers each bring unique skills directly applicable to our equipment rental, logistics, and services business. We have collectively managed a large construction company, heavy equipment and truck dealerships, large governmental aide programs, an import & export company, and trucking & transportation companies, in Senegal, Kenya, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, the United States, and others. We know what it takes to succeed in the industry and in the markets in which we work.
We believe that our organization should address both economic and social realities in the markets we operate in. Not only are we responsible for our customers, employees, and investors, but we are also responsible for the environment and our local influence. Wakamara commits to improving not only our business, but also the local communities in which we operate through dedication to our Stakeholders & HSE Policies.
